About Me

Welcome to my blog - my ramblings about trying to find healthy, affordable gluten free food in St. John's, NL.
Despite being gluten free, I love to try new products and am always interested to hear about new places to eat.
I try to help the environment and purchase organic products where possible.

Enjoy :)

Enjoy Life - Crunchy Sugar Crisp Cookies - Product Review

This week I picked up a box of the new Enjoy Life Crunchy Sugar Crisp Cookies. I`m always up to try new products so when Dominion put their Enjoy Life products on for 15% off this week - I went for it.

I`ve tried Enjoy Life products before with mixed results, however, they seem to have changed their formulas and these cookies were awesome!

Very crunchy (but not too hard) and yummy sugar coating on top. The cookies are actually quite large for a GF cookie and coming in at 55 calories each - I indulged in a few the first day I bought them.

So far I can only find them at the Blackmarsh Road Dominion. They were $3.65 a box during the sale but only slightly over $4 regularly so really a great deal!

These cookies are also free of a ton of other allergens including, soy, casein, dairy, and gluten. They are also Kosher and Vegan. While I can`t seem to find out for sure - I am pretty sure they are GMO free but the listing on the site is slightly different than the box I picked up.

I give these cookies 5 stars!!!!

  1. I will have to go to that location. I havent seen these anywhere, as well, and really like these cookies.....Do you ever shop at the Winners/Home Sense stores and check out their mixes/snack isle?? You can find A TON of gf mixes, cookies, etc ... stuff that I cant even find here in ANY of our stores but have seen/had in the states.... The one in Avalon Mall usually has the best selection.

  2. I've never looked at Winners - interesting! I'm not much of a mall person but next time I'm around there I will check it out :)

  3. Oh-my. Ok, Yeah. You MUST go and check it out. Youll be super excite! They have a ton of stuff and are always getting in new things, as well... Ive found mixes from 1-2-3 Gluten free http://www.shop.123glutenfree.com/ , Pamelas, XO Baking Comp http://xobakingco.com/ , GoGo Quinoa http://www.gogoquinoa.com/ (I got their choc chip cookies and muesli mic. Both are good!) ...etc, etc. Its worth going to to the mall once and stocking till you run out and have to go back again :)

  4. Bulk Barn now carries individual sized packs of all four flavors.

  5. Thanks! I really need to get out to Bulk Barn - I've heard so many good things! It will be my Easter project! :)
