About Me

Welcome to my blog - my ramblings about trying to find healthy, affordable gluten free food in St. John's, NL.
Despite being gluten free, I love to try new products and am always interested to hear about new places to eat.
I try to help the environment and purchase organic products where possible.

Enjoy :)

Lundburg Sea Salt Rice Chips Review

I've been meaning to try these chips for awhile - I am pretty sure you can get them at both Sobeys and Dominion, and in multiple flavours. I decided to try the Sea Salt variety.

These are a cross between a tortilla chip and a cracker so they are a little thicker (and thus able to hold toppings such as salsa or guacamole better).

I liked these chips for a quick snack - they do have a hint of salt flavour - but nothing overpowering. I think you could also top with a soft cheese as well and they would be tasty.

These are made with 70% organic ingredients and contain no GMOs :) They are certified by the non-GMO project and you can find the little symbol in the left hand corner.

These are about $4.29 in NL, but the US price is about $2.50. Anyone try any other varieties of these?

  1. Hi I just want to confirm that they are available in NL; I buy them at the Memorial Stadium Dominion. Wish we got more of the Amy's products like you are finding in Florida!

  2. Yes - there are so many Amy's products! I'm not here long enough to try them all. I've asked at Real Food Market if they can get more in - they already have some in stock. Also - Annie's Homegrown has some awesome products, some of which you can get at Real Food Market - but again, maybe they can get more in if a request is made :)

  3. Unfortunately Canada doesn't carry NEARLY as many items available as in the states. I LOVE Amys. I always kept several of their meals in the freezer as back up for days that I had little desire to cook. Very few of my favourites are even available in Canada (many of the mexican ones) and most run a good 2-3 dollars more, as well. So sad. Amys is/was one of the ONLY frozen meals I would/will eat.
