I just found out this morning that WalMart.ca carries gluten free items that are available for shipping! At a quick glance, they have Dr. Lucy's Cookies, Duinkerken, Kinnikinnick, Betty Crocker and more!
I plan to order - and I'll post on my experience :)
Here's the post http://www.glutenfreenl.com/2013/09/online-order-at-walmartca-review.html
Have you seen that the newest/smaller WalMart by Village Mall has a dedicated GF section now with several different options? Not quite as many as online but still decent selection.
ReplyDeleteIm pretty sure the rest of the stores will also have a section once they all finish with the "remodels".
No - I never go out that way. But that's great to know! Thanks! I'm also curious as to what Target will stock when they open. In the US they have a good selection of Gluten free and organic lines :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like the remodeled stores will definitely have a GF section. (the store I was at already had Lucys cookies, Glutino yogurt pretzels, Pan Riso bread crumbs, etc, on the shelf) Not too much outside of what you can find at a well stocked Sobeys/Dominion, of course. But probably at least 50 cents to $1 cheaper, depending on the item.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Target goes. I have heard Target Canada has a partnership with Sobey’s and Sobey’s will supply the food and grocery products....at least for now.
Thanks! Anything that's cheaper is good for me! Gluten free products can be so expensive! Interesting that sobeys will be providing target with grocery - they should have a good selection :)
